Implementation of the LIFESTRAND Project Continues at TNMU

On February 22-23, 2025, as part of the LIFESTRAND project under the ERASMUS+ program
“Training and Dissemination of Emergency Medical Skills for Higher Education Institutions
and Communities from Combat Zones in Ukraine and Georgia,” another instructor course took
place.

During the training, participants familiarized themselves with the theoretical foundations of pre-
medical care and practiced hands-on skills using modern equipment. Special attention was given to
working in situational scenarios, which helped reinforce the acquired knowledge. Additionally,
participants learned about effective teaching methods and the fundamentals of communication
during training.

The training program covered the following topics:
 Basic life support
 Control of critical bleeding
 Transport immobilization for fractures
 Emergency conditions (stroke, myocardial infarction, anaphylaxis)
 Assistance in airway obstruction cases

The training was conducted by senior instructors Alina Tomkiv, Nadiya Pasyaka, and Olha
Prokhorenko, as well as junior project instructors – TNMU students: Nazarii Krulyk, Yuliana
Skip, Oksana Petryshyn, and Vitalina Sulyma.

The course concluded with a debriefing, during which participants shared their positive impressions
of the training and discussed their newly acquired experience.
