TSMU Will Cooperate with Bilche-Zolote Regional Physiotherapeutic Hospital of Medical Rehabilitation

The delegation of Ternopil State Medical University consisted of the rector Professor Mykhailo Korda, Vice-Rector for Research Professor Ivan Klishch, Vice-Rector for Science, Education and Clinical Affairs Professor Stepan Zaporozhan. On January 21 they visited Bilche-Zolote Regional Physiotherapeutic Hospital of Medical Rehabilitation to endorse a cooperation agreement. That day the workshops for participants of the training programme due to the implementation of the elective course in post-traumatic stress disorder “Nurses Initiative for Alleviation of Personal Trauma” supported by the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine were also held there. So, teachers of medical schools, volunteers and social workers from five regions of Ukraine delivered positive comments to the administration of TSMU about the project which is being implemented in our university.

In summer 2015 a department for treatment and rehabilitation of ATO soldiers was created at Bilche-Zolote Regional Physiotherapeutic Hospital of Medical Rehabilitation. The soldiers can receive more than 60 kinds of treatments: massages, mud therapy, practice with simulators and in swimming pool. A psychologist also works with the military for their psychological rehabilitation. Up to 50 soldiers can receive treatment at this department. Currently there are 310 patients at Bilche-Zolote hospital.

The Rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhailo Korda got acquainted with the work of the hospital and signed a cooperation agreement with the Chief Physician of Bilche-Zolote Regional Physiotherapeutic Hospital of Medical Rehabilitation Liubomyr Synoverskyi. Due to this cooperation a quality medical care, efficient use of supplies, human and financial resources and scientific potential of university and hospitals staff, as well as students, interns, resident doctors, PhD and Master’s degree and postgraduate students training, professional development of medical staff, researches and development of effective methods of prevention, diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation for the patients should be provided at the hospital.
