TNMU scholar participated in the “25 Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technology Conference & Exhibition – DUPHAT 2020”

On February 25-27, 2020, the Head of TNMU Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Liliya Logoyda participated in the “25 Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technology Conference & Exhibition – Duphat”, held annually in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai (Dubai World Trade Center).

Pharmaceutical profession around the world is undergoing a major transformation toward greater specialization and automation, and most importantly, quality improvement.

DUPHAT has evolved from its establishment in 1995 to a fully-fledged, comprehensive and internationally recognized pharmaceutical conference. World-class patrons have made a significant contribution to the growth of DUPHAT in the global pharmaceutical market. International associations and experts have always participated in DUPHAT conferences with increasing enthusiasm. The continued support of the Dubai Ministry of Health has greatly helped DUPHAT to reach the level of the conference. This is evidenced by the fact that the annual chairman of the organizing committee of the DUPHAT conference is Dr. Ali AlSayed (MS, Ph.D., Director of Pharmacy Department of the Ministry of Health, Dubai).

The international scientific program of the conference and exhibition bring together practicing pharmacists, doctors, researchers, medical representatives, young scientists, students.

DUPHAT is visited annually by prominent pharmaceutical experts from around the world. Scientists from the USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Europe, Africa, Japan and the Middle East present their latest achievements in the field of pharmaceuticals as part of a three-day intensive program covering a wide range of topics covering pharmaceutical science, practice, education, continuing professional development and best practices.

Extremely interesting and diverse were the presentations at the plenary session of the conference, which was held simultaneously in two halls (HallA, HallB). Most impressive presentations at DUPHATTECH (Part of Duphat) included: “Quality Culture and Data Integrity in Pharmaceutical Industries” (Dr. Mazen Boughanem, United Arab Emirates), “Pharmacovigilance at the Office: Building Relationships with Other Functions” (Dr. Rouba Eid , United Arab Emirates), “Digital Transformation of Manufacturing Processes” for anultimate paperless manufacturing” (Dr. Mahmoud Ghazal, Hungary), “Drug Delivery Approaches for Parents “(Dr. Joshua Kriesel, USA), “Quality Assurance and Modern Pharmaceutical Packaging” (Dr. Samuel Razzak, Germany).

DUPHAT as a science program includes pharmacy workshops and seminars, concurrent scientific presentations, poster presentations by professional teaching staff and student audiences, student poster contests, and student competitions for short oral presentations. The latest information in the pharmaceutical industry was presented at the Pharmaceutical Technology Exhibition attended by multinational pharmaceutical companies (Astra Zeneca, A. For the seventh year, Ukraine is represented at this event only by our university. Scientific work of the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry was presented as an oral presentation and a poster.

According to the results of the conference, professional poster and oral presentation by Liliya Logoyda, Mariana Horyn, Sergiy Kovalenko, Galina Berest on “Method Development and Validation for the Determination of Meldonium and Metoprololin Human Plasma by Using LC-MS / MS” were marked with certificates as well as advanced training certificates (32.25 CME accredited by DHA). Liliya Logoyda’s report was concerned with the scientific-theoretical substantiation and development of original bioanalytical methods for the determination of meldonium and metoprolol in blood plasma using the developed methods for studying the pharmacokinetics and equivalence of drugs.

The participant expresses their sincere appreciation to TNMU administration for the opportunity to participate in this conference and to present the results of their research at the international high-level conference.
