Online Chess Tournament was Held in TNMU
The students of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University are proactive and on the go even during quarantine. Unfortunately, not all events can be held online, but the tradition of chess tournaments is maintained by future doctors.
The TNMU Arena chess tournament took place on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at 7 pm. 22 people took part in it. The tournament was held online. During the 90 minute competition, 57 games were played and 3223 moves were made. In a tense struggle, the participants competed for top honours:
– Mykhailo Yakymchuk, and dentist-intern, was the winner.
– second place – Olexandr Ivaniuk, a fifth-year student of the Faculty of Medicine
– Ibrahim Ibikunle, a second-year student of the International Students Faculty, was the third.
The organizers appreciate the willingness of all participants to support such events. The winners of the tournament will be awarded prizes soon.
