TNMU Students Painted T-shirts to Raise Funds for a Charity Project

On October 19, 2022, a T-shirt painting workshop was held at Ternopil National Medical University. The event was organized by students Ilona Novakivska, Valeriia Blahuliak and Nataliia Pontus to raise funds for the “Box of Courage” project. This project has been implemented at TNMU for six years with the aim of maintaining optimism, strength and endurance in the fight against a serious disease for young patients of the haematology department of the Ternopil City Children’s Clinical Hospital.

12 participants of different ages and nationalities joined the workshop. Iryna Abramiuk, a drawing teacher and a member of Prosvita, told about the rules of drawing on fabric. According to the participants, they not only had a good time, but also got the opportunity to feel like an artist and get a memory of this evening in the form of a hand-painted t-shirt. In total, 3,750 hryvnias were collected for the needs of children with cancer.

The coordinator of the “Box of Courage” project at TNMU is Associate Professor Olena Pokryshko. The event was held with the support of TNMU trade union committee.
