TNMU’s Junior Instructors Team Trains Civilians as Part of the ERASMUS+ Project
The third stage of the ERASMUS+ project “Life Support Training and Dissemination (LIFESTRAND) for Higher Education Institutions and Community Representatives living in Military Risk Areas of Ukraine and Georgia”, which is meant to train civilians, has started at the I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. The training was held at the Ternopil Science Center and was open to students of the Galician College and everyone interested.
The master class was organized by the project’s junior instructors – TNMU students (Nazarii Krulyk, Olena Nesterenko, Nadiia Zarichanska) under the guidance of senior instructors: Head of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine Olha Prokhorenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine Alina Tomkiv, and Lead Specialist of the Simulation Center Nadiia Pasiaka.
On its first day, participants learned how to provide first aid in case of injuries and mass casualties. The training was active, effective and included practical skills of self-help and mutual assistance.
After completing the course, the team of instructors received positive feedback on their work, and the participants gained valuable knowledge that saves lives.
