Training That Saves Lives!
Sixty-seven representatives from various communities of Ternopil and the region, including students from I. Franko Ukrainian Gymnasium, employees of the dental center “L.A.I.V.-Dent,” the Dean’s Office of Foreign Students of TNMU, LLC “Ahroprodservis Invest,” members of the “Territory of the Body” project, NGO “Tsenturiia,” and students from West Ukrainian National University, participated in training sessions as part of the international project “Training and Propagation of First Aid Skills for Higher Education Institutions and Community Representatives Living in Areas at Risk of Hostilities in Ukraine and Georgia (LIFESTRAND).” The ERASMUS+ program supported all sessions that took place at TNMU’s Simulation Training Center.
The instructors, medical faculty students, and students from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing conducted training sessions on basic resuscitation measures, critical bleeding control, and pre-hospital care for the most common emergency conditions.
In the current context of war, the ability to provide first aid is not just functional but vital. Skills that may have seemed secondary during peaceful times can save lives in conflict. Each training participant gained theoretical knowledge and practical skills that could be critical in emergencies.
“Training one person can be the key to saving many lives.” — this call to action encourages all of us to become part of the change and be ready to help in the most challenging moments.
The TNMU instructors’ team sincerely thanks the administration of LLC “Ahroprodservis Invest” for an exciting tour of the farm.
Thank you to all participants for your engagement and eagerness to learn!
