The ERASMUS+ Program on Basic First Aid Training for Civilians Continues at TNMU

On October 20, 2024, 35 civilians from Ternopil, including teachers from I. Franko Ternopil Ukrainian Gymnasium, private clinic employees, and dental staff acquired essential life-saving skills.

They participated in the training as part of the ERASMUS+project “Life Support Training and Dissemination (LIFESTRAND) for Higher Education Institutions and Community Representatives living in Military Risk Areas of Ukraine and Georgia.”

A team of senior instructors—Nadiya Pasiaka, Olha Prokhorenko, Alina Tomkiv—and junior trainers—Nazarii Krulyk, Vitalina Sulyma, and Yuliana Skip—shared their expertise at the Simulation Training Center of Ternopil National Medical University.

Participants learned essential life support techniques, including using an automated external defibrillator, assisting with asphyxiation and unconsciousness, stopping critical bleeding, providing trauma care, and limb immobilization.
