TNMU Postgraduate Student Participates in the European Congress of Radiology

Olena Sas, a postgraduate student at Ternopil National Medical University and a radiologist, took part in the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2025, held in Vienna from February 26 to March 2, 2025.

This congress is one of the most significant radiology events worldwide, bringing together nearly 13,000 specialists from different countries. Leading experts in the field, including Professors Regina Beets-Tan, Ahmed Ba-Ssalamah, and Amish Nilesh Lakhani, presented the latest research and innovative imaging methods over five days.

Key Topics and Contributions

The congress program covered a wide range of topics, such as:
✅ Modern MRI and CT approaches
✅ Advanced diagnostic techniques for oncology, cardiology, and neurology
✅ Integration of cutting-edge technologies into clinical practice

Olena Sas, in collaboration with Romanna Pavliuk, a TNMU graduate and fellow radiologist, presented a poster report titled:
🔹 “Possibilities of using WB-DWI in conditions of limited resources.”

Scientific Networking and Future Prospects

Beyond attending lectures and discussions, Olena explored the latest advancements in medical equipment showcased at the exhibition. The strong presence of nearly 200 Ukrainian specialists at ECR 2025 highlights Ukraine’s growing engagement with international scientific events.
