Winners of the First Stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad at TNMU’s Faculty of Pharmacy

Throughout March 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University hosted the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad. This event became a true test of knowledge, creativity, skills, and professional expertise for third- and fourth-year students.

Professors from the Departments of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Management and Pharmacy Economics with Drug Technology, and Pharmacognosy with Medical Botany carefully prepared for the Olympiad, selecting relevant topics, designing challenging tasks, and establishing clear evaluation criteria for participants.

Olympiad in Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The competition in Pharmaceutical Chemistry featured 12 fourth-year students.

Winners:
1st place – Yulian Matiashchuk (FF-401)
2nd place – Marina Honchar (FF-404)
3rd place – Vita Volianiuk (FF-404)

During the award ceremony, Professor Liliia Lohoyda, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, congratulated the winners and presented them with certificates and commemorative gifts.

Olympiad in Pharmaceutical Law and Legislation

The competition in Pharmaceutical Law and Legislation, hosted by the Department of Management and Pharmacy Economics with Drug Technology, included 17 third-year students. The Olympiad focused on “Licensing of Pharmaceutical Activities as a Key State Regulation Mechanism”, requiring participants to solve various tasks—from multiple-choice tests to practical case studies using a pharmacy layout scheme.

1st place – Dariia Martyshchenko (FF-301)
2nd place – Solomiia Mlynar (FF-301)
3rd place – Khrystyna Patra (FF-302)

The awards ceremony occurred in TNMU’s educational pharmacy, where Associate Professor Mariiana Demchuk congratulated the winners and presented them with certificates and gifts.

Olympiad in Pharmaceutical Botany

The Pharmaceutical Botany Olympiad was held at the Department of Pharmacognosy with Medical Botany. Participants were selected based on their highest exam scores in Pharmaceutical Botany. The competition tested students’ anatomy, morphology, and plant systematics knowledge through multiple-choice tests, case-based open questions, and herbarium samples.

3rd place – Yelyzaveta Tkachuk (FF-301)
