Enrollment for the Autumn School of Medical Education 2024 is Now Open

The Autumn School of Medical Education is a platform for exchanging experiences and generating new ideas regarding changes in medical education and improving its quality.

The event will take place from October 9 to 12 in Uzhhorod. The school is organized by the “Development of Medical Education” project in collaboration with Uzhhorod National University, in partnership with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, and Maastricht University (Kingdom of the Netherlands).

The Autumn School of Medical Education is a platform for exchanging experiences and generating new ideas regarding changes in medical education and improving its quality.

The event will bring together medical educators, managers, specialists, policymakers in medical education, student representatives, and the public. Key themes for the 2024 school include:

Principles of functioning of the medical education system;
Quality of medical education — its components and how to ensure it;
Challenges of medical education in Ukraine and success stories in overcoming them;
Integrity, mutual respect, and dignity in the educational process.

We invite applications from those who have been involved in and impacted changes in medical education — policymakers, idea generators, change implementers. We seek those willing to share their experiences and best practices, open to discussing new ideas and their implementation, and who uphold student-centeredness and competency-based approaches as daily standards.

Applications are accepted from June 10 to July 10, 2024. To apply for participation in the Autumn School of Medical Education 2024, please fill out the application form.

Participants selected based on their applications will receive a scholarship to attend the Autumn School of 2024 from the “Development of Medical Education” project. The scholarship covers participation costs, educational materials, simultaneous translation for foreign speakers, accommodation (4 nights in a hotel in double rooms), meals (breakfasts at the hotel, coffee breaks, and lunches during the event). Please note that the scholarship does not cover travel expenses to and from the event location, dinners, or daily allowances.

Results of the selection process will be emailed to the provided email address in the application form by August 15, 2024. Selection results for workshop participation, which will be held online before the conference, along with presentation requirements and event details, will be communicated by August 30, 2024.
