The scientific work of the Institute of Morphology is aimed at the implementation of dissertations, independent research projects and research programs funded by the Ministry of Health, organization and participation in all-Ukrainian and international scientific forums, preparation of students’ scientific works, ensuring the work of the morphological sector of the interdepartmental educational and research laboratory of the university.
At the departments of the institute, under the guidance of experienced morphologists, a number of dissertation studies are carried out by applicants of scientific degrees (PhD and Doctor of Sciences).
All departments of the Institute of Morphology participate in the implementation of research works on various topics:
- Morphological and metabolic aspects of carcinogenesis
- Study of the regenerative potential of cell therapy in acute respiratory distress syndrome
- Study of the regenerative potential of mesenchymal stem cells in case of tissue damage in an experiment and prospects for their therapeutic application
- Morphological regularities of adaptation processes in the body after surgical interventions on the organs of the thoracic and abdominal cavities and surgical methods of correction of postoperative complications.
- Development and implementation of mini-invasive innovative technologies in planned and urgent surgery.
- Peculiarities of remodeling of vascular beds of internal organs during simulation of hemodynamic disorders of various genesis and sudden elimination of pathogenetic factors in the experiment.
- Cyberphysical modeling in research of medical and biological processes.
- Development of specialized telemedical equipment and treatment and rehabilitation methods for providing remote rehabilitation to patients with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
- Psychophysiological aspects of adaptation of young people to educational workloads depending on the socio-ecological situation.
Scientific and pedagogical workers of the Institute of Morphology have published a significant amount of scientific works, in particular, articles in journals that are indexed in the scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science.
