Twice a year (on January and July), the Cybermetics Lab research team of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) under the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain publishes the Webometrics ranking (the position of a higher education institution according to the rate of its presentation in the Internet) using its own assessment procedure.
Webometrics ranks about 22,000 universities around the world.
